 "You go!" Sharon squealed.

"Not me!" Ronald protested. "You go!"

"No way," Sharon refused. Turning to Kayla, she raised her finger dramatically and pointed at her. "You, it's your turn, you do it."

"I might as well," Kayla sighed. "Otherwise, we're gonna be here all night."

Ronald handed Kayla the raw pork packet, and both he and Sharon watched as Kayla walked down the path to the old Pali road. She climbed around the gate with a sign on it that warned hikers against trespassing because of a landslide. Kalya threw up the middle finger to both of them as she sauntered down the old path. Without a problem, she stepped around the remnants of the ancient landslide, then, a boulder suddenly broke loose from the face of the mountain above her, and it crushed Kayla on the spot.

 "Shit," Sharon moans.

"Every damned time," Ronald whispered.

"There has to be a better way of keeping friends," Sharon pouted.
