Road 2022

Miles of the road this far seems like it will go on forever, and perhaps there won't be a conclusion.

The first thing you want to do with a car like I've got is to open her up to see what she can do, but for some reason, I had this feeling that you couldn't do something like that on this road. Don't get me wrong, it's wide open space for as far as the eye can see, and it's a straightaway black top, but man, if it doesn't feel like a venus fly trap, you make one wrong move, and you are done. Mine is a 2016 Vette, and this baby has all the fixings, but I am keeping her at 55 mph and no more than that. I'm heading to Kona in the broad daylight, and I've been passed by 4runners, Nissans, Lexus, Acuras, and even a high-octane Infinity G3. What do I get for keeping myself well-behaved and under the speed limit?  I get the finger and energy drinks thrown out the window at me. I get me flashing their hairy asses and middle-aged women showing me their crooked breasts. But not once did I waver and try to catch up so I could retaliate; I stayed the storm and kept it even on the road. Eventually, I passed um all by, with each one badly wrecked on the road, one worse than the other. Mangled bodies, decapitation, burned alive and trapped in the car still screaming for help-its a helluva thing to witness but did I want to be one of 'um? Fuck no. Saddle road don't play, and I wanted to get to Kona in one piece, and I do mean one piece.
