100 Ghost Stories Counting Down To Halloween 2025. #96. Cave Diary 6.

The tourists weren't at all impressed with the cave when they saw it from across the street in the dirt parking lot.

They haven't been impressed with anything since they arrived, saying that much of what they saw was a waste of time. Acting as if they were doing the cave a favor, as they did the whole time they were here, they walked across the street and entered the cave. They complained about there being too many rocks on the cave floor, the smell in the cave, and why it was colder the deeper they went in? They complained that they didn't fly halfway across the continent to look at some stupid old cave. They couldn't believe that this was one of the most recommended sites to visit on their brochure and that it was highly recommended by the hotel concierge. Then, it happened.

Small pebbles began falling from the ceiling, hitting them ever so slightly until they caught their attention. Then it felt as if the pebbles were being thrown at them very hard, then harder, and harder. Then, pebbles were being thrown at them from every direction, but it was clear that there was no one else there other than themselves. Running was the challenge; many of them were overweight and winded easily, but they ran. Bloodied, battered, and bruised, they ran until they finally made it back to their rentals. Most horrifying was that there was not a trace of any harm on their bodies. Did they imagine it?

No.

A few more pebbles came sailing out of the cave, hitting a few of them directly on the heads. They were in their vehicles in no time, screaming, hollering, and crying.
