POPPY

Our little baby granddaughter Charm couldn't say the name 'Puppy' to describe her dog, so she called him 'Poppy.' That was his name, and they were inseparable. They ate played and slept together, and the house was empty and lifeless if not for the sound of Poppy's name being called by our little one.
Poppy's ears would always perk up, and he'd go scampering off to wherever it was that Charm called him from. What was most fascinating was dinner time; Charm would make Poppy stand on his hind legs and then roll over before she gave him a bit of food from her plate. It was her favorite thing to do, and it made her so happy. However, it saddens me to say that it was not pleasant for myself and my wife. Months after Charm died from choking on one of Poppy's toys, her formless spirit began haunting our home, and she plays with Poppy incessantly. It never abates. Someone, please help us.
